What is going on!?!?!
I can't believe how screwed up our government's priorities are. There so many things that they could be concentrating on, but what are they doing? Screwing around with the airport security screening process.
They are so concerned with not offending foreign visitors or foreign immigrants (legal or illegal), but they are more than willing to let their own citizens be fondled, ogled at, and downright humiliated trying to use our own airline industry. Women with prosthetic breasts have to be submitted to the humiliation of someone "adjusting" their prosthesis to satisfy the curiosity of the TSA agent. If they choose not to go for the full-body-pat-down, then they are subjected to being scanned and every inch of their bodies exposed to the world.
Come on people. As I just heard someone say our government should be more concerned with finding these groups and stopping the terrorist groups instead of trying to fix things after they have gone wrong. They need to be more pro-active instead of always re-active.

I Believe
* I believe that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.
* I believe that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
* I believe that true friendship continues to grow even over the longest distances. The same goes for true love.
* I believe that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
* I believe that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
* I believe that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
* I believe that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
* I believe that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
* I believe that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.
* I believe that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
* I believe that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
* I believe that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.
* I believe that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
* I believe that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
* I believe that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want him or her to doesn't mean they don't love you with all he or she has.
* I believe that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.
* I believe that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
* I believe that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.
* I believe that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.
* I believe that you shouldn't be eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.
* I believe that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
* I believe that your life can be changed, in a matter of hours, by people who don't even know you.
* I believe that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
* I believe that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
* I believe that the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

GIRLFRIENDS
My very dear friend, Glenda, gave me a plaque years ago, that is sitting on my desk at home. I look at it every time I sit down here at the computer. It is a great poem about girlfriends and what they mean to us. Here it is:
Girlfriends are much cheaper than therapists and a whole lot more fun.
A girlfriend knows your deep dark secrets, but likes you anyway.
Girlfriends are no farther away than the phone, even if it's 4 a.m.
A good girlfriend is hard to find, impossible to replace and never forgotten.
I love you Glenda. Thank you for the plaque and more importantly for being my friend.

Don't Forget to Say THANK YOU!
This came to me in an email from my aunt. I know personally there have been a lot of prayers going out for various illnesses, sadness, hurt, etc., but I also know that I forget to stop and say THANK YOU when things are going well.
I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels. My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, ' This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received.
I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.
Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.
The angel then said to me, "This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them." I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.
Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. "This is the Acknowledgment Section, my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed." How is it that there is no work going on here? ‘I asked.
"So sad," the angel sighed. "After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments"
"How does one acknowledge God's blessings?” I asked.
"Simple," the angel answered. Just say, "Thank you, Lord."
"What blessings should they acknowledge?" I asked.
"If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy. "
"And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity."
"If you woke up this morning with more health than illness...You are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.”
"If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation ... You are ahead of 700 million people in the world."
"If you can attend a church without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion people in the world."
"If your parents are still alive and still married ...you are very rare."
"If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm; you're unique to all those in doubt and despair......."
Ok, what now? How can I start?
If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.
Have a good day, count your blessings, and if you care to, pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are
ATTN: Acknowledge Dept.
"Thank you Lord, for giving me the ability to share this message and for giving me so many wonderful people with whom to share it."
If you have read this far, and are thankful for all that you have been blessed with, how can you not send it on???? I thank God for everything, especially all my family and friends!
